He might live in a pineapple under the sea but this Sponge Bob is not only edible & delicious .. he's home made too! Here is a really simple way to make your own Sponge Bob Square Pants treats using those light and sugary retro marshmallow wafers currently making a popular comeback.
Creating Sponge Bob treats from these marshmallow wafers is a fabulous kids craft activity to liven up any Sponge Bob themed party or rainy day!
- 1 packet of Marshmallow Wafers e.g. Rose Confectionery's Wafer Delights
- Royal Icing or Pre-Made Rolling Icing which can be easily shaped by hand.
- Writing Icing Tubes - Black, Yellow and Red Colors
- Chocolate Spread
Here's how you and the kids can craft your very own Sponge Bob Marshmallow Wafer Treats!
1. Shape your eyes from the white icing and 'stick' onto the marshmallow wafer with a small dab of water or the chocolate spread to the back of the eyes.
2. Draw a big red smile on sponge bob and then add a cheeky grin to your Sponge Bob marshmallow wafer with some yellow writing icing and a tiny long nose if you like.
3. Don't forget to draw some of Sponge Bob's characteristic long eyelashes. Then with small dots in the middle of the eyes add some pupils so he can see :o)
4. Spread the chocolate spread across the bottom 1/3 of the wafer to make the infamous square pants Sponge Bob wears. Decorate along the edges with the black writing icing so the chocolate part looks like brown shorts. .
Enjoy making and eating these funny little guys!
