They tend to be everywhere, on the floor, down the side of the bed, on the stairs and always seem to be hidden in the hardest place to find right when you need him/or her. So we came up with our own original & cute, clever and colourful little way to store all those little toys which lie about the floor on this little hand made teddy bear ladder.. heres how to do it!
You'll need:
Twigs of about the same lenght and width 4-6
Thick wool or twine - approx 2metres (1 meter each side of the ladder)
... thats it!!
Double up the wool so its strong.. with twine you may not have to do this but it helps to double up the desired lenght for stringing the twigs on.
Starting at the bottom "rung", tie your wool around the twig on each side.
On a flat surface get an idea of where you want the second twig rung to go and knot that in place on each side. I found it easier to do one side at a time rather than simulatenously.
Once you get to the top (i.e. youve added all the twig rungs and the ladder is the desired lenght and size you want), then bring together the pieces of wool/twine from each side of the top run and knot them together.
When its all finished, place a small nail or noticeboard pin in your wall and hang the ladder. ..... then get those teddy bears off the floor and sit them on their new colourful perch.
For a colorful twist on this easy craft... why not paint your twigs and leave them to dry before stringing them onto the ladder. You could paint them to match a room or a theme - like Christmas (green, red, white) or Halloween (purple/ orange/ black) or even a country flag/ sports team colour!
Have fun and dont forget to let us know how you get on making this teddy bear twig ladder
