Here's a fun baby shower activity or something you can do yourself as way to count down those 40 weeks of pregnancy and photo-record your beautiful growing bump each week!!
Here's how to do it...
This plain white oversized t-shirt was bought for €3 and with the help of some paper & permanent fabric markers made the best pregnancy photo prop ever!!
I practised on a template first to make sure I fit all the numbers 1-40 in..(God knows 40 is a lot of numbers, never mind weeks when you are waiting for a baby to be born!!).
Place your template behind the fabric so the marker wont leak to the back and get writing. I found it helpful to dot the letters first then to stretch the fabric and connect the dots as it made it easier to write the numbers clearly and neatly. I almost felt I was back in pre-school again.
Once the marker had dried in I ironed it on a low/medium heat to set the marker.
Craftea tip - Its probably not necessary to buy expensive fabric permanent markers if you are just going to wear this as a photo prop as it wont be washed regularly if at all. If its something you plan to wear out - sure why not, best invest in some decent permanent fabric markers and wash on a cool wash x
p.s. As I missed the boat making this to record my pregnancy (my daughter is almost 18mths now so I'll have to wait until next time)...I'd like to extend a big thank you to my lovely friend who was 29 weeks pregnant at the time and let me use her as a model. She is now the lucky mother to a beautiful, healthy baby girl born on Christmas Eve 2012, right on time at 40 weeks - very punctual like her mother!
