A CrafTea Halloween

We are very excited here at Craftea as Halloween is one of our favorite times of the year. So many excuses to make spooky diy decorations and costumes, endless hours of fun and excitement!!

Over the coming weeks leading up to Halloween we will be showing you some easy Halloween crafts that you can do yourself with only a small budget and the kids will love them too!

First up are our easy Silhouette Halloween Lanterns. This is a great way to make use of all your empty sauce jars you may have at home, if your house is anything like our's you will have many lying around!!

What you need:
Empty jars
Paint
Paper
Scissors
Glue
Tealights
Matches

Instructions:
1) Rinse out your old jars, remove any labels and dry

2) Paint in the colour of your choice. I found the lighter colours worked better with the tealights especially yellow and white.Allow to dry

3) I googled halloween silhouettes and printed off some halloween inspired silhouettes including a bat, cat, bird, ghost etc...
4) Cut out your silhouettes and glue onto your jar in place.
5) Place a tealight inside your jar. You can use a wooden skewer or long match to light your tea light.

Crafty Idea: Instead of silhouettes, simply draw on different ghost faces using a marker.
